Marco is living in Minnesota with Kathy Zahs.    He chose Kathy...who would have thought that she would have a grey MALE living in her house?  He is a calm and regal puppy whose personality reminds of us his dam. Admittedly, this is his public persona.  Like his dam, Marco has a wild side that he only reveals to his closest confidants;-)

Marco is named after the great Italian cyclist Marco Pantani who was one of the premier climbers of his time.   He won the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia in 1998 and was twice winner of one of the most famous of the mountain climbs on the Tour, Alpe d'Huez. 

Marco's show career has been quite exciting.  He started out with a Best in Match at four months old.  At 9 months, we traveled down to Georgia for the Marietta supported shows.  At 8 months, Marco earned  a Puppy Group 1.  The same day, he was pulled in a very competitive herding group.  Marco was Winner's Dog for a 4 pt. major under Breeder - Judge Skip Stanbridge.  The next day, he was WD/BOW for a 5 pt major under Breeder-Judge Sharon Redmer.  Marco finished his Championship at 16 months, earning another major by going BOS over specials. 

In the Spring of 2007, Marco made was BOS at the Indianhead KC Regional Specialty under Breeder-Judge Barbara Peach.  Marco made his National Specialty debut in May 2007 where he was one of the final males in consideration for BOB, earning a 'Select'.  Marco and his littermate Tryst stood in as their sire's get - helping him earn 1st place in Stud Dog.  We would like to thank Jan Powers for handling Marco to his BOS and National Specialty Select.
