I wanted to thank all the people who helped make the 50th ABTC National Specialty a very specialSpecialty:
Trish Borgo-What can I say? but THANK YOU for your expert presentation of Crush to BOB! (and you have great taste in wine!) Jamie and Christine Ennis-THANK YOU for handling our veterans Alassio and Dash minutes before they had to enter the ring--Dash looked breathtaking as ever as she and Christine floated around the ring. Jamie-Alassio had moments of greatness, but more of mommy-itis--lol you WORKED hard to make all those cuts!!!!!! Dr. Gillian Irving--Gillian, as always you have the magic touch, THANK YOU for handling of Fly to an AWARD of MERIT after meeting her an hour before you went into the ring. Karen Simchek--for your years of hard work with Poncho, your beautiful presentation added VETERAN MALE/AWARD OF MERIT to his long list of wins throughout the years. Pam Shultz--for making Poncho a flyball dog extrodinaire and always available to do the "other" stuff with him. Karrie Messina-for your awesome presentation of a very out of coat Marco (and your marvelous presentation of him to Award of Merit at the Louisville Speicalties) Kim Vent-for continuing young Charlie's awesome show career and adding an AWARD of MERIT to his group placements and National Specialty Best in Sweeps Sandy and Doug Berman-you did it! WINNER's DOG/AWARD of MERIT with Juno! 2 agility legs for Cade. All the way from Canada to Texas, I think they floated home--Doug finally had fun at a dog show! (his stories sure kept us entertained) Judy Vanderford-the stunning team of Judy and Ashley went on to win the HERDING TITLED Bitch class, showing that dogs can perform well and look great too! Brooke Cole--are you down out of the clouds yet? BEST IN SPECIALTY Show on Crushly AND AWARD of MERIT with Tryst--I don't think a Specialty could get any better than this for you. Nancy Lane-THANK YOU for co-breeding ROCKET--BEST of WINNER's/WINNER's BITCH/AWARD of MERIT--and bringing sisters Vrai (who did so well in agility) and the gorgeous Visa. Elly McCarthy-not only did you put on a Texas Styled National, but you still managed to get our old girl Smash into the ring and win the Veteran Bitch class! Andrea Debbins-your dream came true to win the BRED BY EXHIBITOR bitch class, and you did it yourself with our girl Robbie. Thank you for your years of hardwork, dedication and friendship. Second generation National Specialty BISS with Crush and WINNERS DOG and multiple AWARD of MERITS. Congratulations not bad for your first two litter produced! Francis Rauner-we did it again! who would have thought that so many years ago you and I would take this incredible journey--it really is La Maison des Fous! Thank you to the breeders who believed in our stud dogs (Maigret, Olim, Houston, Roi, Swan and Poncho)and for presenting their dogs to so many honors at this year's National. And of course, Mr. Skip Stanbridge, THANK YOU for making this, the 50th Anniversary, the SPECIALTY of a LIFETIME! Linda
